Summary:

Four red onion varieties were evaluated during three years in two areas of the eastern region of Cuba, in order to assess the effects of the environmental genotype interaction on the bulbs commercial yield. Random block design with four replicants on red ferralitic and brown without carbonate soils were used. The results showed a significative interaction Variety x locality x Year. The behavior of the different varieties was stable in the differents ambients. 'Caribe 71' and 'Jagua 9-72' showed the higher yields.
