Summary:

Results from three groups of experiments for behavioural traits, quality products, and feed efficiency are reviewed. The two first groups have been realised with laying hens: tonic immobility duration, heterophil to lymphocyte ratio, shell strength, shell colour, and yolk cholesterol content. Feed efficiency has been analysed in Tribolium, considering two experiments of selection for residual feed consumption.
