Computer simulations of marker assisted selection were carried out on a character controlled by 25 QTL and different genic actions (from additivity to overdominance). To take advantage of dominant effects two populations were considered: one commercial and a nucleus with the individuals giving next generation. Different strategies to select individuals for each of the populations and different mating schemes in the nucleus are tested for every dominance degree.
