Different spray treatments with a calcium amino acid compound, together with a standard application of calcium chloride, were carried out to investigate their effect on the mineral contents in leaves and fruits and also on different fruit quality parameters.
Increase in fruit calcium was associated with a raise in fruit firmness and a reduction in the incidence of bitter pit.
